Volunteer of the Naval Staff Ilya Gantvarg was found guilty of police disobedience. The Dzerzhinsky District Court ordered him to be detained for 10 days. The decision was made in the evening of May 4.
As the correspondent of “Fontanka” reports, Gantvarg did not admit guilt.
“I immediately fulfilled the demand of the police and left the event,” the activist said.
Earlier, the opposition was fined 10 thousand rubles for violating the rules of a public event.
The reason for the litigation was the political demands for actions to commemorate the victims of the fire in the shopping center “Winter Cherry” in Kemerovo. It was held on March 27 on the Champ de Mars.
Gantvarg claims that he left the territory before the crowd demanded the resignation of Governor of the Kemerovo region Aman Tuleyev. The court did not agree with this opinion.
