The head of Air France-KLM resigns
The conflict in Air France began last year. The unions demanded a 6% salary increase for the staff, but the company’s management agreed to a symbolic increase of only 1%.
Disagreements worsened when in April of this year the management announced the need to reduce staff and planned layoffs in the next four years.
Zhanyak proposed to hold an internal vote on this issue. However, the staff of Air France-KLM, it is expected, did not support the initiative of the management: 55.4% of employees voted against with the participation in the vote of 80.33% of eligible personnel.
"In such circumstances, I can not remain at the head of the company", – declared Zhanaik on Friday.
