MOSCOW, April 25. / TASS /. World champion Evgeny Rylov will not participate in the tournaments, which will precede the start of the European Swimming Championships. This athlete told reporters.
On Wednesday at the Russian Championship, Rylov won the 200m swim at the back, showing a result of 1 minute 53.71 seconds. Clement Kolesnikov finished second (1.55,91), Grigory Tarasevich (1.57,83) took the third place.
"I will not start before Glasgow, only to train and work", – he declared.
"Today the first half somehow did not go, did not open, and the second was easier than usual. Harder than I feel, than after a hundred. The task set for the championship is fulfilled, all according to plan. I do not like my curves, a little long time out of them, and so everything is fine", – the athlete shared his impressions of the swim.
The championship of Russia will end later on Wednesday. As a result of the tournament, the national team will be determined for the European Championship, which will be held from 2 to 12 August in Glasgow, Scotland.
