Relatives of the Swedish DJ Avicii believe that he committed suicide A few days before his death, Avicii was nominated for a music award Billboard Music Award

The family of the Swedish DJ and producer Tim Bergling, who acted under the name Avicii and died last week, issued a statement from which it can be concluded that they consider suicide the cause of the death of a musician.

Their statement says that the 28-year-old DJ had a subtle artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions. "Being a perfectionist, he traveled too much and worked hard at a pace that caused extreme stress", – the text says.

"When he stopped touring tours, he wanted to find a balance in life, – said in a statement published by the publication Variety. – He was very hard, he thought about Sense, Life, Happiness. He could not stand it any longer. He wanted to find peace".

No other details are given in the application. Earlier, the cause of death of the musician was not called. Two years ago, he announced that he was stopping touring because of health problems.

This is the second statement of Avicii’s relatives since his death: on Monday they thanked the fans who responded to the untimely demise of the DJ.

About the death of Avicii, whose real name was Tim Bergling, it became known last Friday, April 20. He died in Oman in the city of Muscat, where he went on personal business.

A few days before, Avicii was nominated for a music award Billboard Music Award for the album "Avicii (01)", issued in 2017.

Bergling began his career in 2006. His first album "True" was released in 2013.

Bergling suffered from acute pancreatitis, in large part because of excessive consumption of alcohol. Due to health problems in 2016, he refused concert performances.

According to Forbes magazine, in 2013, Bergling was among the top ten highest-paid DJs in the world with an annual income of $ 20 million.

Avicii in Sanskrit means the eighth, the deepest circle of hell, where criminals get to and where they are reborn again. Tim Bergling took this nickname, after he found out when registering on the Myspace website that his real name was already taken.
