TASS, May 5. Olympic Champion Australian Chloe Esposito won the third stage of the World Cup in modern pentathlon, which takes place in Hungarian Kecskemte.
The 26-year-old Australian athlete showed a score of 1339 points. The second place was occupied by the Belarusian Anastasia Prokopenko (1335), Sun Vu Kim from South Korea won bronze (1335). Russian Gulnaz Gubaidullina with the result of 1307 points became the fourth, Ekaterina Khuraskina – the ninth (1291), Anna Buriak – the 18th (1266), Lyudmila Tebekina – the 23rd (1252).
At the first stage of the World Cup, which took place from February 27 to March 5 in Egypt, Gubaidullina took the ninth place, and in the second stage in Los Angeles, the Russian woman took 17th place.
Gubaidullina is the world champion in 2017. She became the second Russian woman who managed to win the gold of the world championship in the personal tournament. The first was done in 1997 by Elizaveta Suvorova.
The World Cup in Hungary will end on May 6.
