As a result of another clash between Palestinians and Israeli security forces, more than 430 demonstrators suffered on the Israeli border with the Gaza Strip on May 4, most of them were caused by tear gas, Reuters news agency reported.
According to representatives of the Israeli army, about 10,000 Palestinians gathered in six places on the border with the Gaza Strip on Friday. Compared with previous protests, the number of demonstrators declined, said AP. At the same time, a group of protesters tried to cross the border.
A multi-day protest action
On March 30, about 20,000 Palestinians went to a multi-day protest action "Great day of return". On the eve of the border along the border of the Gaza Strip with Israel, five camps were equipped for the protesters. The Israelis pulled considerable reinforcements in the Gaza Strip in connection with the protests, which will last until mid-May.
After leaving the Palestinian lands after the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, refugees, whose number, together with the descendants, is approaching five million, are seeking the right to return. The Israeli authorities reject their demands. As a result of clashes with the Israeli military since March 30, at least 50 Palestinians have been killed, over 7 thousand people were injured.
