YEKATERINBURG, may 5./TASS/. The Russian fighter of the mixed style (MMA) Alexander Emelianenko is not planning to compete in the ultimate fighting championship (UFC) and has not received an offer from this organization. This he told TASS.
UFC plans to hold the first tournament in Russia in September this year. Emelianenko next fight will hold on May 5 in Yekaterinburg against Brazilian Gabriel Gonzaga.
"No proposals have been received, – said Emelianenko. I do not want the UFC to sign a contract. They are, first, if signed, exclusive contract to fight only there and nowhere else do not have the right to speak. Now I can have several promotions and to conduct a greater number of fights that will not be able to provide the UFC".
"If the UFC held six events per year in Russia, I’d love to have a signed contract with them. And to sign a contract with them for three years."- added the athlete.
The fight, Gonzaga will take place on 5 may. Emelianenko resumed his career in September of the last year after a three-year hiatus, in late November of 2016 he left the colony in Borisoglebsk Voronezh region, where he was serving a sentence for violent actions of sexual character. Just on account of his 26 victories and seven defeats.
